The New State is a historic redevelopment project on Milwaukee’s Near West Side, aiming to open the city’s first all ages music hub. As a founding board member of the non-profit behind The New State, I donated my time and services to create a preliminary brand identity along with printed collateral, digital assets, and a website. In January 2019 I became full-time contracted Executive Director of the non-profit, leading organizational development, strategic planning, events and outreach, and of course supported the team by overseeing and creating the vast majority of our marketing, internal, and collateral needs.

While working at VISIT Milwaukee, I had the privilege of sitting on the Marketing Committee as a rep for VISIT at Sculpture Milwaukee during their 2018 season. Sculpture needed design support, and I helped them give a look and feel to the new logo and creative direction of Jigsaw. At the end of the season, I was tasked with designing a book showcasing all the sculptures on Wisconsin Ave. that season. It was distributed to donors, gallery owners, collectors, artists, and more once the 2018 Sculpture season was over.

After the launch of VISIT Milwaukee’s new website in 2018, the marketing team suggested creating a training series for staff, partners, and clients. The Content Manager produced the scripts, and I held auditions in the office for voice actors. I recorded the audio in a DIY sound booth I set up in VISIT’s offices. With screencaptures, existing promotional footage, the self-recorded audio, and various digital assets, I was able to produce two webinars in 2018.
